Trademark question

From what I understand, trademark laws only apply within the country that you apply for. So if I use a name that is trademarked in US but my brand is based in Asia, I am not susceptible to being sued right? But if I want to sell my products to a boutique or an online webstore in US, will the trademark laws still apply?

thats a good question, i used leagel zoom .com for my copyright, chek with them..
